Rapid Manufacturing Services
VC (Vacuum Casting) is a widely used process in rapid prototyping industry, typically used for making 20 to 40 pieces of functional prototypes out of broad range of polyurethanes.
The process starts with the creation of an accurate and highly finished master model using Objet 3D printing or an existing part. This part is used to produce silicone molds. These mold cavities are used to cast a large variety of polyurethane or epoxy materials. This process results in a fast production of high quality parts with a short lead time.
A broad range of polyurethanes with various physical properties enable the production of prototypes which closely mimic the functional properties of materials ranging from ABS plastic to rubber.
